One of my images "Great Blue Heron Landing" has won a Second Place/Honorable Mention in the 2011 "Share the View" contest organized and held by the Audubon Society of Greater Denver.  I was absolutely thrilled to be recognized as one of the top 13 images by the Society - but even more gratified that the judges (George Lepp, Jeff Foott, and Helen Gilkes), names that we all recognize in the field of nature photography, chose my image.

Some of my most recent work is in the Sierras and Lake Murray galleries.  It includes many panoramas, some hdr, and many 'straight' images from the Sierras.  Bird images are from the shores of Lake Murray.  (As an artificial impoundment, the water level at the lake fluctuates.  Sometimes bank full, sometimes down 10'.  The birds (Snowy Egrets in particular) always seem to find game among the rocks and rip-rap of the shoreline.)
